Waking up to a scene like this reminds me that winter can be incredibly beautiful. This winter has been a strange one as here in the western foothills we have missed most of the snowstorms that have hugged the coastline. But this week we've been getting some late winter snow that is heavy and wet and sticks to the trees to create classic winter scenery. No doubt snowmobilers will get out and enjoy the new snow.
